If any of these interest you, come join us for a walk down memory lane on a nostalgic stroll through the colourful enclaves of Katong & Joo Chiat – home to picturesque historical shophouses, Instagram street-art, “die-die must try” food, hipster cafés and Peranakan culture.

Often termed as one of Singapore’s liveliest neighbourhoods, Joo Chiat & Katong is a heady blend of old and new. Family businesses and quaint shophouses sit alongside cool cafés and hip boutiques. Take a stroll through this beautiful enclave to discover the charms, contrast and a melting pot of rich tradition and modernity.

Having lived and stayed in the East and played in some of the areas surrounding these places in the 60’s, I have seen the vast transformation and hold vivid memories of some of these historical and heritage buildings and sites which I would love to show and share it with you.

So, if you love the contrast of colors, interesting street-art murals, amazing peranakan architecture, food and photography, join us on this 2.5 hour nostalgic stroll down memory lane as we take you on a journey to discover the rich heritage, local delicacies, charms, sights & sounds of Katong & Joo Chiat before they’re all gone!
